A series of unfortunate events

Several things went wrong today.

Ms Macy is back! But found that they did not bring back my box and the power cable! So I had to wait for them to bring it back. Can only stare at Ms Macy but cannot do anything to her! When the technician called me in the evening, they said they couldn't find the cable. Hubby searched and found it at home!

But that is not the end. The wireless keyboard and mouse couldn't work! When the technician came with the box (late at night), he tested and found there was a problem with the bluetooth. I have to call in again tomorrow morn and wait for them to come back AGAIN.

What happened to the faulty hard disk? Apple initially did not want to release the faulty hard disk to me. I called up the hotline and talked to the customer service person, she let me have it for 30days out of goodwill. I will be charged $400 if I want to keep it. What?!! A 500GB hard disk couldn't cost so much!! I called up several times and finally she released it for me. Partly due to the delayed replacement of the harddisk due to backorder.

A BIG thank you to my neighbour Dr Wu! He managed to clone the hard disk and save all my files! I really thought I have to say bye bye to my files forever, if not for him!

Another unfortunate thing that happened today is our power supply. Someone came to install the fibre optics in our house on Sat but caused one of the lights to go faulty. This evening they came back to repair it but short circuit the whole electricity supply! Geez!! Sparks were flying out of the lights! Took quite awhile to fix that!

Let's hope all these unfortunate events will end and happier things will come! At least now I can stop using hubby's notebook and the tiny screen and use my own iMac! Yeah!
