A pouch

I spent a day making this. Got a sewing pattern book from Daiso awhile ago and thanks to my Japanese colleague for translating the instructions to English!

It was supposed to be a bag-in-bag, a type of organizer for a bag. But I decide to make it into a pouch at the last minute.

I don't know how to sew a zip though. Mum studied my work and it was hubby who put a zip on it! He is really awesome! There are 3 compartments inside to put small things and 2 compartments outside.

My sister said I should make one for her to put diapers. Let's see if I have the energy to make one. For an amateur like me, it takes too much efforts!

Wrist rest

My hubby can handle the sewing machine much better than me. My mum asked him to make a long pillow for Ethan, to put it over his stomach. The current one he has is too short, he needs a longer one.

After clearing Ms Macy away on the temporary operation table, we turned it into a sewing area. Hubby started to work. He laid out the fabric and took measurement.

Brought out the sewing machine and he sewn this. Waiting for my mum to fill it up.

Hubby said I should practise more so today I attempted the sewing machine myself. I made a wrist rest!

It is filled with rice (expensive Japanese short grain rice!) and lavender seeds . It smells nice!

2 of my favourite kids

My good friend came to visit us on Sat evening. So happy to see them and their kids. Rae-lin has grown taller and Kai-tse can walk now!

Oh he is such a terror but so cute!

He knows where is his nose!

Rae-lin was rather grouchy in the beginning because she just woke up. But after awhile, she happily chatted with me and showed me the dancing videos on her daddy's iPhone. Kids these days are so smart, they can operate the iPhone with ease!

Check out her cool tattoo!

We are always happy to have good company over at our house and thanks to Desmond for bringing bottles of good wine for us to enjoy! Happy anniversary to you and KY!

Mr & Mrs Ng

My Ms Macy is going for an operation next week. She will have a 'heart' disk transplant. Before that, we are trying to save my 'babies', all the photos I have taken this year. Yes, they include photos of Ethan! Really pray that Ms Macy will deliver my files!

With Ms Macy out of action, I took some time to finish this LO. Love this photo of us walking down the aisle and my friends blowing out the bubbles to welcome us in. The photographers kept saying "Slow down, slow down!" so that they can capture us well. Finally took out my slash of Webster's Pages and use them!

Today's is my hubby's birthday! I tried hard to think of a nice place for dinner but in the end, we decide to go to our favourite Japanese restaurant! You know which one? ;)

Days without Ms Macy

My iMac aka Ms Macy is down for several days, which explains my absence here. After several calls to Apple hotline and hours of troubleshooting via the phone, it is diagnosed with OS problems. I was quite pissed because apparently the 1st technical support person gave me the wrong information and wasted my time!!!

Anyway, I have to backup my data and this is where the money will go to. Applecare does not cover software problems so I cannot get free onsite support and have to resolve the software issue myself. As I need to retrieve and backup my data, I have to pay Apple to do it.

Looks like I have to go without Ms Macy for another few days! Arghh!

Ethan's full month celebration

My nephew is 1 month old today! He wore the romper I bought for him!

It is indeed a happy occasion! It means my sister is free from being a 'prisoner' and Ethan can come to my house to visit me next time!

My brother and sister in law went too. Look at my brother carrying and playing with Ethan!

Now the countdown begins for my cousin who is going to pop in 2 month's time. Another newborn baby model to pose for me! :)

Sindy with her camera

Rather bored today so I decided to play with Facebook.
I create this page, Sindy with her camera!

It was through the influence of my ex-boss that I took up photography. I went for formal photography course, Basic and Advanced Photoshop courses and several color management workshops. I took many photos for work, for internal evaluation and testing, and I made many friends through photography.

I started off with a film SLR and then went digital. My 1st film camera was a Nikon, yes, I switched camp to Canon when I turned digital. Till now, I still have a Nikon film camera, and a Canon film camera. Though I shoot mostly in digital now, I take out my film cameras occasionally to shoot in film.

Ok back to this Facebook page. I want to organize my photos and decide to put up some of my travel photos and children photos I have taken since 2005. These photos give me so much memories! My 1st lone trip to Rome, then another lone trip to the beautiful Greek islands, honeymoon in Maldives etc. And how much the children have grown since I first took photos of them!

Do join me on my photo journey on my Facebook! :)

Photo shooting session

Thank you for all the compliments on the children photos I took. I have been taking photos for work these few years but my interest has been taking photos of landscape and children.

Now that I have some free time and with some encouragement from friends, I will be offering my photography services for babies and children. Here is the summary of my services.

My price is reasonable and I am generous in giving out more high resolution files and printouts of the photos. Options include hard cover album with laminated photos, coffeebook album and scrapbooking layout.

Do help me spread the news and give me your support! :)

If you want a photo session for couple or wedding, I highly recommend my photography friends! Check out Depixel or Blessedi Weddings!

Ethan is not my baby!

Recently I received a question from some friends who found me on Facebook.
"Did you have a baby without informing me?"

Hahaha!! No no, Ethan is not my baby, he is my nephew!

Here are more photos of him at 3 weeks old! I disturb his sleep!

Sleeping so comfortably.

Check out his butts!

Tiny feet

Will see him again next weekend!

Ethan is going to be 1mth old!

Went to visit my nephew yesterday. I wished my sister a Happy Mother's Day! Haha! Her 1st Mother's Day!

Time passes very fast. Next week Ethan is going to be 1mth old! Though my sister said she has already sms her friends about the full month celebration party, I still decide to make a simple announcement photo.

While we were making him to pose for me, we witnessed something amazing. This boy, at 3 weeks old, stretched up his neck and rest on the cushion! My parents and sister were simply flabbergasted!!! He has such a strong neck! And he knows how to make himself comfortable!

I did not manage to catch him stretching his neck but this is the shot when his head came down to rest on the cushion.

After his 1st month birthday, I do not have to travel to his house to take his photos! My sister will bring him over to my house! Yeah!

Homework done

I finished the LOs this morning.

This LO is a bit different from the teacher, Jaz's design because I exchanged with my classmate for the Hambly pink doily paper. And I only use 1 photo instead of 4. Took the photo before I add the title.

The other LO is very shabby chic. It has secret compartments! I gave it a title "You and I together forever."

These 2 are going into my scrapbooking wedding album!

This class is still available at Laines. Go check out the class sample and sign up for it!

Tell Your Story class

I was very lucky to get the last seat at Jaz's Tell Your Story class and went to attend her class at Laines today.

I really love her works and she is such a dear teacher. I went early and chit chat with her. Had fun scrapping at class. I have not attended any classes for the past 2months and forgot how therapeutic it is!

I am a happy gal today because I took a picture with my idol!!! That's my uncompleted layout and her class sample.

Thank you to you, my scrapbooking friends, for all your well wishes! Though I might not have seen some of you in real life, I read your blogs, see your LOs and stories and feel that I know you! Scrapbooking is not only a hobby, but also a way of looking at life and preserving the memories. I thank you for accompanying me on this creative journey!

Bokeh and rainbow

Quite lazy to organize the photos taken in Penang and Ipoh and since hubby was the one who took most of the pics, I let him do the job.

I did edit one photo I took of him. I was playing with the sunlight and trying to get the bokeh and rainbow.

I love this photo!

My friends can't get enough of the food and are now planning another makan trip. Maybe to Malacca, or even nearer in JB. Gosh! We are going to be pigs soon!

A-May-Zing May

I am back from Penang and Ipoh! Wow what a trip! Non-stop eating!! My stomach is getting bigger and rounder!!!

I didn't take many pics in this trip. Hubby used my 7D and we had an 'official' photographer with his Canon 5DMarkII, anothe one with Canon G9, another 2 with iPhone, another 2 with Lumix LX3 another 2 with Panasonic and another 1 with Sony Alpha. So many!!! We were all armed with camera but we ate more than we shoot! It's a makan trip so photography took a back step this time.

We take some time to process the photos and bring you on a visual food trip later! But for now, let me announce an exciting news! I am the guest designer on Groovie!

Do take part in the challenge! I will give away a RAK!
