My 1st handmade bag

Yesterday I received my prize from The Scrapbooking Carton from the postman.

I already have a heart edge punch but this one is different. See the difference?

This is half my collection of Martha Stewart punches. The rest are in the drawer behind it. I can't get enough of them! :p

For the past few days, I have been busy making a bag. This is the bag before I put the seams and straps.

I add a pocket inside. I sew all the edges, no frills!

I searched through People's Park and Spotlight before I found the strap and color I want. Sewing the seams is the most difficult part of this bag but once I got the hang of it, I did it!

I just started sewing so I am still very amateur. I tried hard, learning from hubby, reading from books and looking at bags. Now I understand why I spent so much money on my designer bags... I can feel the efforts in making those bags!

Seriously, I think the amount of money I have been spending on this sewing hobby can buy a new LV bag already! But I am enjoying this hobby at the moment!
