I thought it's a good deal. The package is only valid for a day trip travel from Mon to Thur, ideal for me to spend my weekday. Some of my friends were interested but in the end, I went alone.
Not a good idea to go during school holidays period, when the whole ferry was filled with families and kids. The weather started off being bright and sunny but soon the rain came and the ferry rocked. The little girl behind me vomited and cried. The smell and noise spoiled my tai tai mood for a moment.
Cleared customs and someone holding up a sign with my name greeted me. I was whizzed off to Aura Spa in a vehicle and within 10mins, we reached. I thought I was going to the spa at one of the resort. Boy am I so wrong!
Forget all the spas I have been to, this is definitely not a spa! It is more like a massage parlour. But luckily my masseuse was good and strong. I had a good Balinese and oil massage. My husband always pities those who massage for me because my shoulders and back are very hard and it's really not an easy job to do it for me! I will shout "Harder, harder!"
Had a lunch provided in the package after the massage, I didn't finish the food. There was still some time to my departure time and it was raining, I didn't have anywhere else to go. They told me I could take the earlier ferry back to Singapore so they sent me to the ferry terminal. But my ticket was a promo ticket so I cannot change it earlier. The only way is to buy a new return ticket at $29.10. I didn't want to wait for 2.5hrs so I paid.
I can't say this trip was not fruitful because I did have a good massage. But it is way beyond my expectations! I have been to the spas at Angsana and Nirwana so I was expecting THOSE type of spa!
Luckily my friends did not join me. I can just imagine them complaining if they went! Haha!
The quest for looking radiant continues tomorrow. I will be going for a pedicure with my girlfriend!

that was quite a short trip! i thot u are lying at the beach, reading or snapping sme photos! a good massage was good though.. but not the ferry experience, with vommit etc...
ReplyDeletei was opposite u... when i go massage... i always tell the masseuse to not so hard, not so hard.... LOL!
