My nephew Ethan has a hand-me-down bean sprout kernel pillow. Such pillow is put on his body with the weight of the bean sprout kernels lying on both sides of his body. It is supposed to give babies a sense of security so as not to be frightened by sudden movements. My hubby made a new pillow case for him using the existing bean sprout kernels from the old pillow but this time, I made one from scratch.
These are the bean sprout kernels that made me very very busy for several days. I painstakingly handpicked them myself and dried them!
The sewing is much easier. Chose a baby blue for the pillow and a Riley Blake designer fabric for the pillow case. Both fabrics are 100% cotton.
The baby boy should be arriving at the end of this month. Can't wait to see him! :)
