YOG - The Olympic Torch

I heard a lot of drumming this morning and thought it was some 7th month event. I didn't take notice of it at first and when I finally did, I was surprised to see this.

I 'complained' on Facebook and my friend told me it's for a YOG event. She stays opposite me and told me to take some pictures. Since I stay on very high floor, I decided to take out my 70-200mm lens to shoot. Yes, that white elephant which has been sitting comfortably in the dry box!

Just after I stuck out my lens between the window grilles, I was surprised to see this scene on my viewfinder! It's the Olympic Torch!

Many people crowded around the boys to take photos. I didn't know earlier, if not I would have joined them downstairs.

The boy carried the torch and ran around the running track.

More people!!!

They finally left and made their way to the Westspring Secondary School. (Pooi, I don't know if they went to Zhenghua Sec later?)

After I posted these pics on FB, my friends told me the Olympic Torch is making its way around Singapore islandwide. Geez.. I didn't know that! This mountain tortoise needs to catch up with the outside world!
